Focus on the Family Diabetes Fun Walks &
Education Classes!

The Focus on the Family Diabetes Fun Walk was an event for people living with diabetes, caregivers, family members, friends, coworkers, the medical community, and general public to come together to celebrate life and support the Coalition's mission. In the last several years, GDC with support from community organizations, churches and support groups have held walk events in Atlanta, Decatur, Baxley, Millen and Soperton.

The GDC/DCAC Focus on the Family Diabetes Fun Walk was designed to help people understand the need for early detection of diabetes. In addition to raising diabetes awareness and education, the Walk was a great way to bring the community together!

Donations received  were used to support educational and outreach programs of  the Diabetes Community Action Coalition, Inc. and the Georgia Diabetes Coalition. View pictures below or visit our Facebook page for pictures.

The GDC also supports diabetes education classes for basic education and awareness. Due to COVID19 virtual classes and support groups meetings are conducted monthly by our Speakers Network and membership organizations. Dates and times of classes and events are listed in our monthly newsletter. Join our mailing list on our contact page. Remember to mask up, social distance and wash your hands!
